We are pleased to announce that on February 17, 2026, Xia & He Publishing Inc. received notification from Clarivate Analytics that its journal, Journal of Translational Gastroenterology (JTG), has been officially accepted for inclusion in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) database. All articles published since the journal’s launch in September 2023 will be indexed and accessible via the Web of Science platform. The journal is expected to receive its first Impact Factor in 2027.

JTG is an English-language journal focusing on translational gastroenterology. It was launched in September 2023 and is published by Xia & He Publishing Inc. The journal is co-edited by Professor Jiande Chen from the University of Michigan, USA, and Professor Hua-Xiang Xia from The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, China. With the support of an international academic network and editorial board, JTG is dedicated to advancing both basic and clinical research in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology, and pancreatology. The journal aims to enhance disease diagnosis and treatment, deepen the understanding of underlying molecular mechanisms, and facilitate the effective translation of scientific discoveries into clinical practice. Inclusion in the ESCI reflects the journal's ongoing commitment to rigorous academic quality control, the development of robust peer review processes, and adherence to high publishing standards. It also marks a significant step in JTG’s integration into the mainstream international academic evaluation system.

The Editorial Office extends its sincere gratitude to the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board Members, Young Editorial Board Members, peer reviewers, and authors for their continued dedication and contributions to the journal's development. Every rigorous review, high-quality submission, and steadfast commitment to academic integrity has been instrumental in the journal’s growth. As we embark on a new chapter, JTG will continue to uphold its professional standards, enhance its academic services, and strengthen its international presence—striving to provide a reliable and open platform for scholarly exchange among researchers in the field of gastroenterology.
